benefits in detail
standard roadside assistance
A standard membership with Renault roadside assistance offers the peace of mind that help is only a phone call away.
- flat battery
If you find yourself immobilised with a battery problem, we will attend to your vehicle, test the battery for performance, jump start the flat battery or coordinate a battery replacement if required. The cost of the replacement battery will be charged to you.
Where a jump start is not possible, we will tow the vehicle to the nearest authorised repairer. Towing is provided up to up to 20 kilometres from the breakdown location in a capital city or major rural town, and 60 kilometres in a rural area.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- emergency fuel
If your vehicle runs out of fuel, we will deliver sufficient petrol or diesel (to a maximum of 5 litres) for the vehicle to travel to the nearest available refueling facility.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- flat tyres
If you find yourself with a flat tyre, we will change it with the vehicle's serviceable spare wheel. If your vehicle is not equipped with a spare wheel, we will transport the vehicle to an approved tyre outlet or authorised repairer, whichever is the nearest (subject to the towing/transportation limits). Should additional services be required beyond this due to multiple flat tyres, the spare tyre being unserviceable, replacement wheel studs/nuts not being available or locking wheel nut key not available, towing is provided at your cost.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- lost or locked keys
If you lose your keys or lock them in your vehicle, we will provide all reasonable assistance (subject to proof of ownership shown) to:
- locate and deliver a spare key, or
- arrange for the driver to retrieve the spare key, if this is more practical, or
- gain access to your vehicle (once a consent and indemnity form has been signed by you).
- In all other situations where the key is not available, we will arrange to transport the vehicle to an authorised repairer, where the appropriate entry methods may be used. We will not be responsible for any damage incurred, or for any repair costs that result from gaining access to the vehicle or moving the vehicle while it is locked. An expense limit of $150 (including GST) applies to this benefit. All additional costs are your responsibility.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- vehicle towing / transportation
If your vehicle cannot be mobilised at the breakdown location, we will deliver your vehicle to the nearest authorised repairer to the breakdown location. If the breakdown has occurred after business hours, we will arrange for your vehicle to be stored at a secure facility and delivered to an authorised repairer the next working day. Please note that all additional towing costs are your responsibility.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- taxi
If your vehicle cannot be mobilised due to a breakdown and must be transported to a repairer, we will provide one taxi ride per incident, to a maximum value of $50 (including GST), so you and your passengers can continue your journey to the nearest town or within the same city where the breakdown occurred.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- bogged vehicle
We will attend and recover your vehicle from a bogged situation provided that reasonable and safe access is available to a conventional two wheel drive recovery vehicle and no other specialist equipment is necessary. Should specialist equipment and/or towing become necessary, services may be provided at our discretion, but all additional costs will be your responsibility.
Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- emergency message relay
Following a breakdown or accident, we will relay urgent messages to family, friends or business associates likely to be affected or concerned by the disruption or delay and/or provide advice on local transport options and alternatives.

Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- emergency accommodation
If your vehicle is immobilised by a breakdown for more than 24 hours and you are more than 100 km from home, we will provide two (2) nights up to the value of $150 (inc. GST) per night (room cost only) should you decide to remain with your vehicle while it is being repaired locally, or if alternative transport is not available. Any amounts charged in excess of this limit will be at your cost. This benefit will stop once your vehicle has been repaired.

Limits apply. Refer to Terms & Conditions.
- vehicle relocation
Vehicle relocation will be provided where your vehicle has a breakdown more than 70 kilometres from your home and cannot be repaired on the same day. tips & advice
Remember these handy tips to help keep your Renault in top condition, saving you money.
rev gently when cold
Most engine wear occurs when starting a cold engine. During the winter months, give your Renault a few minutes to warm up by lightly revving the engine. This allows the lubrication system to move oil through the engine. Once the temperature gauge rises to the normal zone, your Renault is ready to go.
drive smoothly
City traffic creates stop-start motions that are hard on cars, wearing on engine, clutch, transmission, brakes and tyres, as well as using fuel. If you adopt a smooth, steady driving style you'll reduce wear on the car, save money and fuel, and help the environment.
always park in gear
Ensure that handbrake is completely engaged and your Renault is placed in gear when parked. Automatic cars should be placed in "P" and manual cars in first or reverse gear. For additional safety when parking downhill, point your tyres towards the kerb.
watch your gauges
When driving your Renault, keep an eye on oil pressure and water temperature, as these two gauges monitor the engine's vital cooling and lubrication systems. If at any time these gauges move into the critical zone or a warning light comes on, stop the car as soon as practical and get help by calling Renault roadside assistance.
lost keys & emergency access
As all new Renault vehicles are protected by a high security immobilizer and dead locking system, forced entry cannot be carried out due to the risk of causing serious damage. It is recommended to keep a spare key somewhere it is easily accessed, although it is not recommended to keep your spare key inside the vehicle.
get help
If you require assistance, simply call 1800 009 008 any time within Australia1.
before you call for roadside assistance, make sure you have the following information available:
- your Renault assistance membership number & expiry
- location of your vehicle
- a description of the problem
- a contact telephone number
do not leave your vehicle unattended
If you need to leave your vehicle unattended, please call Renault roadside assistance to reschedule the callout. Should our authorized providers arrive at your car and it is unattended, work cannot be undertaken.
safety first
If your vehicle is not completely off the road or is parked in a potentially hazardous location, please turn on your hazard lights. It may also be safer for the vehicle occupants to wait in safe place outside of the vehicle. You'll need to evaluate the situation yourself, with the safety of your passengers in mind.
